The story of 5 generations

Since the end of the XIXth century our family grows the vine on the plots where it gives the best of itself. Pruned, trailed, harvested and observed during decades, the vine expresses the best of the terroir from Passy-Grigny in our Champagne.

The Passion for the Terroir since 1974

At that time the third generation of vine growers have started to manage the art of Champagne winemaking. In 1974 the brand Champagne Marc HOUELLE has been launched. A key date in our family’s story…

In our vineyard, the eco-friendly practices and diversity are the keys of our Champagne’s quality. Adding know how, passion and new technologies, our estate is turned toward the future. Each member of our family takes pleasure in the creation of a top-quality Champagne!

Quality commitment:

Our Estate is labelled High environmental value. It is a French label highlighting our eco-friendly practices in terms of vine growing : developing biodiversity, preserving water and Terroir.

We are committed in that way of growing grapes and producing Champagne by using natural solutions such as sulphur and copper. Trees, grass and animals are also preserved.

 In the cellar 100% of the wastes are recyclable (bottles, cardboard, paper…). Reducing wastes is our Priority !
